Before I apply my makeup, I must have clean skin. What is all the hype about strobing?

You're probably thinking to yourself ... great I just mastered highlighting and contouring and now the hype is "Strobing"! What do I do now?

Don't worry, if you've mastered contouring this will be a breeze for you. When I learned about strobing,  I realized it was my version of "lazy contouring". Sometimes when you want a little glamour but you don't have enough time to complete the look, I would use a lazy contour which in the end looks more like the strobing effect (who knew, I could have been a trend setter!)

How To Take Care Of Oily Skin

Oily skin results from overactive oil-producing sebaceous glands that produce more oil than required. Therefore, the oil oozes and makes the skin greasy, coarse and shiny. Very oily skin has a tendency to have coarse pimples, pores and other blemishes that can be embarrassing. Additionally, it is more susceptible to blackheads. Ewwww! I hate blackheads! Amazed By Mary Kay Cream To Powder Foundation

Last week I had the privilege of meeting Tania and Ashley at our Wine & Cheese Makeover event.  These amazing, beautiful and make you laugh til you cry ladies were so much fun to have at our event. My mom, Independent Beauty Consultant, Marianna Markiet met Tania a few weeks ago when she was visiting a patient at her job. My mom invited her to our makeover event and she shared her makeover with her friend Ashley. Let's meet them!

Tania - who used Mac foundation was unhappy with how her foundation felt. She said she felt like her skin couldn't breathe and that it was "caked" on whenever she wore it. In addition, she had to mix TWO different foundation brands just to get the right color for her skin. Makeup Brush 101

Perfect Your Look With The Right Tools...

I've always used makeup applicators or my fingers to apply my makeup. But as a I work towards obtaining my makeup artist certification I need to improve my skills with handling brushes. I'm slowly getting used to them; and as always practice makes perfect. When you use brushes and applicators to apply your makeup; it is very important to clean your brushes on a regular basis.
