How To Camouflage Your Acne

Hi Beautiful!

If you're reading this article, it's most likely because you have acne prone skin and are seeking relief from these symptoms. You're in luck as I have several solutions available for you.

First, as you probably already know having a good skin care regimen is a very important part of obtaining healthy clear skin. For Acne, I recommend Mary Kay's Clear Proof Acne Treatment System as it uses a combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide to attack multiple factors that can contribute to acne breakouts. The system has been shown effective on teens and adults, males and females, and different ethnicities from coast to coast.

After you have treated your skin; the next step is to camouflage your remaining acne (if any). I recommend the following products to cover and control oil for acne prone skin.

  • Oil Mattifier - this will help control, concentrate application in most oily areas such as your T-Zone.
  • Foundation Primer w/SPF - this will help your foundation last longer, and provide protection from the sun.
  • Concealer (Yellow) - this will reduce redness from blemishes; use with a brush for precise application, then blend with your finger or sponge.
  • Foundation - there are several options available to select the right foundation for your skin type, however for oily skin and more coverage try Mary Kay Matte Wear foundation. For  lighter coverage with oil control try Mary Kay Cream To Powder foundation. If you're not sure of your shade, I can help you find your perfect foundation shade during a private consultation.
  • Translucent Powder - this is used to set your foundation and control shine. Apply all over face, but focus on most oily parts like T-zone area if necessary. You can also use loose powder foundation as well.
  • Beauty Blotters - if you continue to have oily skin during the day, you can also use beauty blotters to remove excess oil without disturbing your makeup.
  • Cleansing Brush - this is optional, but for my clients that have extremely oily skin I highly recommend using a cleansing brush which is 85% more effective than cleaning by hand. In addition, you're reducing the amount of oil transfer from your fingers to your face.
  • Beauty Blender - in cases where you have to blend with your fingers, try using a beauty blender instead. This will also reduce the amount of oil transfer form your fingers to your face.

If you have any further questions, feel free to setup a skin care consultation with me. I would be happy to meet with you to discuss any of your beauty needs.
